We are excited to share with you that Tara Lauren is having a trunk show at Lovely Bride Miami from May 5th – 14th. Shaina and Tara Healy are the sister designer duo behind Tara Lauren and will be at the trunk show. Tara Lauren embodies a romantic, fresh, elevated bohemian aesthetic designed with an admiration for the spirited confidence of today’s modern bride. With this in mind, their designs aim to bring out every bride’s individuality.
About Tara Lauren
Tara Lauren is an alternative bridal collection co-founded by sisters Tara and Shaina Healy who share a passion and enthusiasm for art, music, culture, travel, and of course fashion and bridal. They have always been enlivened by all things creative, and have found it to be the driving force behind their aesthetically-oriented lives. Tara Healy has achieved a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design with a specialization in Bridal and Evening Wear from The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, where she received an award from The International Bridal Manufacturer’s Association in recognition of her senior thesis. Before launching the namesake collection, she has interned with the likes of Marchesa, Monique L’huillier, and Oscar de la Renta.
Shaina Healy has achieved a Bachelor of Arts in Screenwriting from Chapman University in Orange County, CA. She has assisted celebrity stylist Julie Matos for Project Runway All Stars, People Magazine, and even New York Fashion Week. She went on to style brides at an alternative bridal boutique in New York and continues to express her love for bridal and fashion on her blog The Bridal Bird. The sisters have always found fashion to be of strong importance to the preservation and definition of self-expression. It is a celebration of life, the armor of distinction, and a visual representation of the experiences that continue to inspire them. With inspiration from 70s style icons and the charm of the inherently feminine, the collection incorporates the dynamic between the raw timelessness of romance effortlessly juxtaposed with the distinct boldness of the alternative bride.
