I’ve been waiting for since I first saw Anjelica’s “I’m engaged!!” Instagram post in January. Anjelica and Cody FINALLY got married at Bridle Oaks Barn this past Sunday. They were surrounded by the most loving friends and family, along with the most GORGEOUS details!!
THE COUPLE
There was so much to love and share about this wedding day, but I’ll start with probably my favorite part: this couple. Anjelica and Cody were the sweetest and most genuine pair. I had been following Anjelica on Instagram since Sasha’s wedding (Sasha is Anjelica’s best friend and the most popular person on our blog). Sasha spoke about Anjelica often and they honestly could be twins. Anjelica posted that she was engaged and even though I didn’t know her, I was SO happy for her. Everyone deserves their happily ever after!! Anjelica sent me an email a few weeks later as a referral from Sasha. She asked us to photograph her wedding and I couldn’t be more excited. The venue was stunning, we were a perfect fit personality wise, AND she is so detail oriented. I didn’t get to meet Anjelica and Cody in person until this Sunday, but we had been communicating for months and were social media pals. The first thing Anjelica did when we walked in the door was greet us with a huge hug. We were both so happy to finally meet in person and get this day started. Anjelica was so sweet and loving to everyone in the getting ready room, even though the nerves were running high. Cody was the exact same way to us and every one he encountered. They were the perfect pair.
THEIR LOVE
As the time grew closer for the two to share their first look, all Anjelica wanted was to get outside and meet her groom-to-be. She didn’t care about anything else but that, and that’s exactly the way a wedding day should be. Being with your loved one is the whole reason for the day. As the day progressed, the couple realized that nothing else truly mattered on the day besides their love. When the first look arrived, Anjelica tapped Cody on the shoulder in a secluded garden. Cody turned around and started tearing up. At the ceremony, Cody teared up even more and tried his hardest not to cry as Anjelica walked down the aisle. It was right then and there that I knew this marriage would last a lifetime. For the rest of the day, I could see their love pour out for each other more and more.
THE DETAILS
My other favorite part of this day at Bridle Oaks Barn was the amazing details. Anjelica spent months planning every intricate detail of the day along with the amazing coordinator, Ashley. But, it was the physical details that caught my eye. Anjelica sent me a few pictures throughout the process of items she picked up for her day. This included a geometric ring holder filled with a moss-like greenery. As we arrived at the venue, though, the coordination of the day really showed. Lining the ceremony site were similar geometric lanterns, and the same design was found throughout the reception. Her colors of navy, purple, green, and maroon were displayed through every portion of the wedding day. Every detail was so cohesive and I was in photographer heaven.
